Thai Embassy and Thai Private Sector donation for COVID-19 affected people and Cambodian migrant workers in the province’s quarantine centers

On October 4, 2021, Jirawuth Suwanna-Arj, Minister Counsellor for Commercial Affairs of the Royal Thai Embassy in Cambodia, led a delegation of Embassy officials and representatives from Thai private sector companies operating in Cambodia to deliver vital humanitarian aid. This donation, valued at over $16,000, was presented to H.E. Tea Seiha, Governor of Siem Reap Province, to assist individuals affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, including Cambodian migrant workers in the province’s quarantine centers.

This initiative saw the participation of numerous prominent Thai companies, including CP Cambodia, SCG, PTT, CP ALL Cambodia (7-Eleven), Makro Market, Cambodia Commercial Bank, Bangkok Bank, Kasikorn Bank, Krung Thai Bank, EXIM Bank, Big C Supercenter, Betagro, Cambodia Air Traffic Services (CATS), Sovannaphum Life Assurance, Kubota, Kubota Leasing, Da Hug Heng, JWD Logistics, TNP Group (comprising TV5, Lyyon, Tiffy, and Sofitel), Royal Angkor Hospital, Royal Phnom Penh International Hospital, N Health, We Grow Power Plus, The Hub Advertising, and Modern Plastic & Packaging (MPP).

This collaborative effort underscores the strong partnership between Thailand and Cambodia while highlighting the private sector’s commitment to social responsibility and regional solidarity during challenging times.
